Discussion thread for our Associate – Foundations study guide (exam code CCAO-F) — Anthropic’s entry-level, non-technical Claude certification, aimed at people in ops, marketing, PM, education, and consulting who use Claude to get real work done.
No coding required. The exam’s biggest domain is actually output evaluation (21%) — judging accuracy, spotting hallucinations, knowing when to verify. The guide has the 7-domain blueprint, an ~8-hour study plan, and exam logistics ($99, Pearson VUE).
Course links repointed to academy.claude.com; durations corrected to what the site now states (Claude 101 2.5h, AI Fluency 4h, Cowork 2.5h — they were listed as 1h each).
Two new units: AI capabilities and limitations (3.5h — squarely aimed at the Output Evaluation & Validation domain, the biggest one on this exam at 21%) and Introduction to Claude Tag (2.5h, optional, only if your team uses Claude in Slack).
Study plan ~8h → ~17h (~20h with the optional rows). There’s a “Fast path” note if you’re short on time: AI Fluency + AI capabilities and limitations + the hands-on units.
“Migrating from Skilljar” note: progress doesn’t auto-transfer (import banner only if your emails match).
Exam unchanged: CCAO-F, $99, 60 items, Pearson VUE, registration via the Partner Academy.
